Our Management Team include the following key experts who would be responsible for all consultancy work:

Mr. Sadi Shemliwa, CERM, FAST

Shemliwa is the Managing Director of ARC and Senior Management Consultant in Actuarial and Risk Management. Shemliwa has more than Twenty-One (21) years of professional work experience in the financial sector in Tanzania, particularly in pensions and insurance. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Actuarial Management and Master of Science Degree in Actuarial Science from City University, London; Master of Arts Degree in Economic Policy Management from Makerere University, Kampala; and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Statistics from University of Dar es Salaam. Shemliwa is a Certified Enterprise Risk Manager (CERM), and Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Tanzania(FAST).

Shemliwa advises both trustees and sponsors of retirement benefits schemes in the areas of scheme design, actuarial valuation, and risk management. He also advises both life and general (re)insurance companies in the areas of pricing, reserving, reinsurance, and asset-liability management.

Mr. Darshan Ruparelia FIA, FeASK, FAST

Darshan is a Director of ARC and Principal Actuary accredited by the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority(TIRA). Darshan is a Fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (UK) with over 15 years of experience in advising public and private sector employee benefits schemes in the UK and Eastern Africa. He is also a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK) and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Tanzania. Darshan founded Ruparelia Consultants Limited, a private actuarial consultancy, in Kenya in 2014.

Darshan advises both trustees and sponsors of employee benefits schemes in the areas of scheme funding, investment strategy, accounting valuation, risk benefits, cash flow modelling and projections, actuarial factors, and member communications.

Mr. Eric Ndoria AIA

Eric is a Consulting Actuary and Peer Reviewer of actuarial projects performed by ARC. He is an Associate of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (UK). He is also a member of The Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK). He holds a Master of Science Degree in Actuarial Management from City University, London and a Bachelor of science in Actuarial science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He has experience in Pricing and Reserving for both Life and general (Re)insurance.

Mr. Hamad Shirazi, BSc

Hamad is an Actuarial Analyst of ARC. He is a graduate of University of Dar es with a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science and a student member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK).

Hamad has experience in valuation and modelling of employees’ benefits schemes, and pricing and reserving for both Life and general (re)insurance.

Ms. Cher Norbert, BSc

Cher is an Actuarial Analyst of ARC. She is a graduate of University of Dar es with a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science.
Cher has experience in valuation and modelling of employees’ benefits schemes, and pricing and reserving for both Life and general (re)insurance. She is a student member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK)

Margaret Ikongo, ACII, GradIRM

Margaret is a Director at ARC and Executive Chairperson of ARC.  Margaret is a retired Managing Director of the National Insurance Corporation. She is a Financial and Risk Management expert with over 40 years of experience in the Tanzanian Market. She holds, Masters of Business Administration (Finance)-Open University of Tanzania, Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management –Institute of Finance Management (IFM), an Advanced Diploma in Insurance 1st Class-IFM. She is an Associate Member by examination of the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK, Diploma in managerial control and management information system of Delft Netherlands, and International Diploma in Enterprise Risk Management of the Institute of Risk Management UK
